These were originally for a much bigger piece with Nine, Jack, Martha, and Donna, but I seem to have lost my inspiration to finish it. Nevertheless, I like how these two turned. So, this was more or less an experimentation with colour and light, abandoned, rediscovered, continued, abandoned again, signed and slightly tweaked, only to be cut into pieces in Photoshop with white frames slapped on top. If I finish more of the characters, I'll submit an updated version, but it is unlikely.
Wow, the effort you put into this is astounding. It's masterfully done, and they look fantastic. If you have the time, definitely do the other characters. I love this!

Very nice work, and an unusuall view of Ten (I'm pretty sure he's saying "WHAT?!" at this exact moment ). I hope you'll find the motivation to finish the last parts with the other characters, it would be so great. I think I would have print them all to have them on my wall. I guess the other parts would have been all blue and orange or yellow... like the way Andy Wharol used raw colours for his portraits. Well, maybe later... or not ! But you're right, better doing nothing rather than forcing you - and eventually make a bad work, but are you even capable of doing something that's not great ??? I really doubt that !
Working with colour is very much trial and error when you first start... and it still is for me (you just don't get to see the size of the 'error-pile'. I used to really hate shading skin, it used to always get too red or other sickly colour. Now I have a few tricks I've learned, but there's always room to improve, especially through your own eyes). But sometimes there's nothing that's more fun than going absolutely crazy with colour like I did with this one.
So a big thank you for your kind words, and I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas as well
