Here's something I started a loooong time ago (what a surprise...) and only finished now. Yes, it could use some polishing, but I love how Teal'c looks, hehe.
It's SG-1 back in 1998, season two. I wanted to do something with harsh lightning and deep shadows, hence all the charcoal in a coloured pencil drawing (and it saved me the trouble of trying to get all the details on their clothes and other gear right), and the scanner darkened it even more. The gate is supposed to be "fading". I know it can look like a weird lightning effect, but it's not supposed to be one. The light source is somewhere on the right, and I know it doesn't really go with the gate, but damnit I wanted to put it there and I liked my first sketch... so deal with it. I loved Stargate in it's early days!! I would sit and watch it for hours when there was a marathon of it.
